What Pro unlocks

Dive Kit has one paid feature: the Deco Planner. A subscription unlocks the ability to create and edit decompression plans. Without a subscription the Deco Planner is locked for new plans, but you can still open a plan a buddy shared with you and read every output. A shared plan opens with a Read-Only Plan banner: you can read the full schedule, gases, and warnings, but editing and re-sharing are locked, and the banner offers an Unlock Dive Kit Pro button. Nothing else is behind the paywall.

Everything else in the app stays free: the best mix calculator, gas blender, gas usage planner, breathing-rate calculator (surface respiratory minute volume, SRMV), buoyancy calculator, gas specs, unit converter, cylinder database, dive signals, certifications, and your profile and settings. They do not require a subscription and never will.

You manage your subscription in Settings → Subscription. The card there reads “Manage your plan, switch to lifetime, or restore purchases.”

Plans

There are two ways to pay, and both unlock the same Deco Planner:

Plan	What it is
Monthly subscription	A recurring monthly charge through the App Store or Play Store. New users get a free trial first, which converts to the monthly subscription on the date shown.
Lifetime	A one-time purchase. You pay once, with no subscription and no renewals, and keep the Deco Planner forever, including future updates.

Billing and prices are handled by Apple or Google, so the exact price shows in your store’s currency at the point of purchase.

Subscribe

Switch to lifetime

If you are on the free trial or a monthly subscription, the screen offers Switch to lifetime. Tapping it opens a sheet showing the real lifetime price and a Buy lifetime button. If a renewing subscription remains after you buy lifetime, the app prompts you to cancel it, and a gentle launch reminder reappears until you do, with a Remind me later option that holds off until before your next charge. It never charges you for both, and you keep full access either way.

Restore purchases

If you reinstall the app or sign in on a new device, tap Restore purchases on the subscription screen. This asks the store to re-grant any subscription or lifetime purchase tied to your store account. Use it whenever the app does not recognise a purchase you have already made.

Manage or cancel

What the screen offers depends on your current state:

• Manage subscription (active renewing subscription) opens the Customer Center, where you can cancel, request a refund (iOS), or restore purchases.
• Cancel subscription (active renewing subscription) appears alongside Manage subscription. It opens your store’s native manage sheet (Apple’s Manage Subscriptions on iOS, the Play subscription page on Android) so you can stop auto-renew directly.
• Resume subscription appears if you cancelled but the paid period has not ended. It opens your store’s manage sheet, where you can turn auto-renew back on.
• Restore purchases is available to free and lifetime users.

Behaviour and limits

• Buying, restoring, or managing a subscription needs a network connection because the app stores handle the billing. See Offline use.
• Once unlocked, the Deco Planner works offline like every other tool. Your entitlement is cached on the device, so you do not need a connection every time you open it.
• Subscriptions are tied to your App Store or Play Store account, not a Dive Kit account (there is no account to create).
